The electronic music world has put Movement in the rearview, but festival season is far from over. Sónar is right around the corner, and so are events like Love International. The Croatian festival will be celebrating its third edition at the end of the month, along with its newly launched eponymous label. As it happens, one of the young imprint’s first releases is a compilation called _The Sound of Love International 001_; curated by Gatto Fritto, the deep-digging UK selector joins us here for an interview ahead of the record’s release later this month. Also popping in for a chat is DJ Richard, who’s got a new album of his own, _Dies Iræ Xerox_, that’s set to drop next week via the Dial label. He discusses how his life has changed after returning to his native Rhode Island after a stint in Berlin, while also commenting on the status of the White Material label (of which he is a cofounder) and his musical moves away from straightforward techno on the new LP.
