Another week means another deluge of new electronic music, but it also means another helpful on-air cheat sheet from Shawn Reynaldo, who reliably highlights only the best new offerings every Thursday. On this edition of the show he premieres a track off the upcoming rRoxymore EP for UK label Don’t Be Afraid, and of course no episode would be complete without a couple of in-depth interviews as well. Up first is Motor City staple DJ Bone, who explains the difference between his main moniker and his critically acclaimed Differ-Ent alias before breaking down his new album, _A Piece of Beyond_, his first new full-length in more than decade. Also coming through for a chat is Perel, a rising, Berlin-based producer whose debut LP, _Hermetica_, just dropped on DFA. She discusses her refusal to stick to genre boundaries and her excitement about this year’s Red Bull Music Academy, for which she’s been selected as a participant.
