Moscow’s electronic music scene remains something of a mystery for most people outside of Russia, but that hasn’t stopped Kedr Livanskiy from getting noticed. Her two EPs for the 2MR label nimbly combined ethereal pop sounds with lo-fi dancefloor rhythms, and now the rising talent has stepped up her game with a proper album. Entitled *Ariadna*, the LP arrives this week on 2MR, prompting Livanskiy to tell us more about her creative process, use of vocals and overall creative vision. Also joining the show this week is D33J, an LA native and longtime member of the Wedidit crew whose long-awaited debut album, *Death Valley Oasis*, is landing this week via Anticon. He tells us about the LP’s long gestation period and looks back on his unique upbringing in the City of Angels. Elsewhere, host Shawn Reynaldo spotlights the week’s best new electronic releases and premieres an album from Steffi’s soon-to-be released album on Ostgut Ton.
