Hailing from Scotland, Claude Speeed got his start amongst the neon-streaked LuckyMe crew – the label released his 2014 debut album, *My Skeleton* – but his music has always drawn more comparisons to Steve Reich than Hudson Mohawke. Now entrenched in Berlin, his productions have found a home at seminal experimental outpost Planet Mu, which is issuing his sophomore LP *Infinity Ultra* this week. Here, he talks about the record’s surprising trance flirtations, his own technology-induced anxiety and why the new album has a lot less guitar than his previous releases. Also popping in for a chat is Cardopusher, a Venezuelan-born, Barcelona-based RBMA alum whose latest full-length, *New Cult Fear*, finds him folding bits of industrial and EBM into his hardware techno manipulations. He discusses the contrast between the music he makes and the sunny city he calls home and also touches upon his penchant for working with a lot of different labels.
