Born in London and raised in Austria, Cassy grew up with an international perspective, which perhaps explains why she tends to change cities every few years. Regardless of where she lays her head, she can always be found behind the decks, playing records everywhere from Panorama Bar to the clubs of Ibiza and enormous outdoor festivals. She’s been releasing music since 2002, but she’s just now issuing her debut album, *Donna*, via Will Saul’s Aus label. Here, she speaks with Shawn Reynaldo about the process of creating the LP, the team that helped her put it together, the soulful sounds she wanted to explore and the effect of having a baby in the middle of it all. Also coming through is Swamp 81 affiliate and former Blunted Robots co-founder Mickey Pearce, who’s re-emerged with debut album of his own, *Michael*, after keeping something of a low profile in recent years.
