Hailing from Birmingham, UK, Regis operates between the murky worlds of dark techno, extreme noise and industrial tones; since the early '90s he's released three albums and dozens of EPs and singles as a solo artist. He’s also a seasoned collaborator, part of groups like Karl and the Curbcrawlers, Sandra Electronics, Sandwell District, and arguably his most influential project, British Murder Boys (alongside fellow Birmingham native Surgeon). Outside the studio, he has co-run Downwards Records with Female since 1993, whose collection of freaky sonic rebellion includes Tropic of Cancer, the KVB and Samuel Kerridge, among others. Between his solo and collaborative music, and the aesthetic focus of Downwards Records, Regis has curated a network of darkly humorous and brooding explorations into an industrial sound of psyche and sexuality.
