As Pantha Du Prince, Hendrik Weber's take on house music is the most otherworldly to come from the Dial Records family and arguably, from the German scene at large. Since joining forces with fellow Dial producers Efdemin, Lawrence and Carsten Jost, Weber's mission has been to go back to nature – with a kick drum. He went on tour with Animal Collective, recorded with Panda Bear and LCD Soundsystem's Tyler Pope, remixed tracks by Trentemøller and Bloc Party and reworked a Philip Glass composition. After moving from Hamburg to Paris, he is now based in Berlin, and still fusing minimalism with romanticism, urban culture with the call of the wild. After exploring three tons of heavy metal objects with the Bell Laboratory ensemble, Pantha Du Prince's latest project is a work of almost philosophical dimensions: _The Conference of Trees_ reveals the hidden knowledge of nature and meditates on the forest as a communicating and cooperating organism.
