Description
Best known as the singer of Stereolab, French musician Laetitia Sadier is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who plays keyboards, percussion, guitar and trombone. She first connected with Tim Gane while he was in the band McCarthy, and eventually contributed to that group’s second and third albums after relocating to London in the late '80s. Once McCarthy broke up, the two immediately formed Stereolab, a genre-melding, space-age avant-pop outfit that ultimately proved to be one of indie music’s most celebrated and influential acts. Amidst Stereolab’s successful and highly prolific run, Sadier has also kept busy with a number of other projects, the most prominent being Monade, a dreamy post-rock group that released three albums before calling it quits in 2009. Sadier has also lent her vocal talents to a number of other acts over the years, including Blur, Common, Tyler, the Creator, Mouse On Mars and the High Llamas.
