Forest Swords is a British musician and DJ from Liverpool, whose electronic productions draw from field recordings, live instrumentation and samples to create an otherworldly sound, tinged with the ancient. He's inspired by his rural hometown of the Wirral and its bodies of water, as well as visual art and cinematic scores — on his debut _Dagger Paths_ EP and two subsequent albums, _Engravings_ and _Compassion_, his use of melodies and layered sonics evolve into grander beasts. He's also produced music for dance and theatrical performances, films and video games, the latter for the well known series "Assassin's Creed." In 2018, he released his DJ-Kicks mix CD, drawing lines between British post-punk and electronica, downbeat hip-hop and esoteric sources of music.
