Kelly Moran's recently released sophomore album, _Ultraviolet_, is an arresting study in the ways prepared piano can create vibrantly hypnotic music. It's not a new technique by any means, but Moran excels at creating involved pieces with minimal resources, placing her in a long and illustrious lineage of New York City experimentalists. She'll be joining Sam Hockley-Smith in the studio to talk about her formal training, getting signed to Warp and other topics, and spin for us some of the music she's been listening to lately.
