As part of our series on the DJs who have made a mark on the music scene in Texas, we hear from Veronica Ortuño, the founder and director of Austin-based Las Cruxes. Although primarily a vintage shop, Ortuño's space as taken on a pivotal role in Austin's music scene, offering a place for DIY parties to take place. Aside from programming in-store events at Las Cruxes, she hosts the radio show _Cease to Exist_, and DJs. Her mixes blend alternative rock from the flower-child era with contemporary electronic and experimental sounds.
