As part of the Choice Mix's focus on Chicago, we hear from an artist making their mark on the city's musical landscape. sold is a self-identified pupil of the Mother Beat, the higher power and the universal language that is music. They are a resident of smartbar; under the guidance of Eris Drew, they conduct the Rites of the Mother Beat. They are also half of the duo Farplane, a techno buyer at Gramaphone, an agent for Discwoman, and they run two parties, Relate (with Jermaine Collins, Patrick Teff and Chris Santoso) and Neon Falls (with Alex Bond). In their Choice Mix, sold offers an insight into the current sound of Chicago, featuring house and techno cuts exclusively produced by artists from the Windy City.
