OB Ignitt is Detroit to the core. Starting out producing R&B, pop and rap music in the early '90s, and working in stage production and being a touring musician in bands, he moved into producing more electronic styles in the early '00s alongside his long-time friend Omar S. Drawing on his decades as a live drummer, OB Ignitt's productions focus on percussive house and techno tracks, some of which he's released on Omar S's FXHE label - his debut EP Oh Jabba and a collaborative 12" with Omar S, Wayne County Hill Cop's (Part.2), both in 2012, and his Mysterious 12", in 2013. The following year, OB Ignitt started his own label, OBONIT Records, which has seen his productions grow from strength to strength, and started DJing, taking his ideas from the studio and into the club.
