As part of our series on the DJs who have made their mark in Texas, we hear from DJ Lady Ja-Roq, who is a veteran of the underground hip-hop scene in Dallas. She bought her first pair of turntables at 18, started shifts at local FM station Kazi 88.7 and soon opened for greats like Snoop Dogg and 2 Live Crew. These days she's busy running her company Essential Entertainment and online radio station the Wildout Radio Worldwide.
