Coy Haste is the solo electronic production alias of Brad Weber, a Toronto musician who joined the Academy in New York as a participant in 2013. Best known for his work as the drummer of indie-pop group Caribou, and as part of Pick a Piper (alongside Angus Fraser and Dan Roberts), Weber’s music as Coy Haste is a different creature, blending house, disco and afrocentric edits into bubbling dancefloor tunes. He has self-released three records as Coy Haste, the most recent being 2017’s _Outer Phases_ EP. In this episode, he journeys through warm disco records, edits and tropical grooves.
