With her partner-in-sound Paul Raffaele, Buenos Aires-born, Brooklyn-based DJ and curator Barbie Bertisch runs the dance music zine Love Injection, hosts the weekly radio show of the same name on The Lot Radio and is part of the Classic Album Sundays crew, a monthly listening session of iconic recordings in music history played on a world-class sound system. It's as a DJ, though, that Barbie is most vividly making her mark on the Brooklyn scene, playing an uplifting blend of soul, cosmic disco, afrobeat, house, funk, hip-hop, Latin grooves and jazz fusion.
