Kidä is an Italian-Egyptian artist who came to the 2016 Academy in Montréal as a participant. Classically trained in piano and flamenco guitar, she moved into the music technology world and studied sound engineering. Based in London, her multidisciplinary work encompasses sound design and composition, and is inspired by a wide variety of music, film and visual arts – she’s as much in love with post-punk, synth-wave and psychedelic styles of music as she is by avant-garde fashion and erotically-charged horror films (her all-time favorite is Dario Argento’s legendary _Suspiria_). In recent years, she’s produced music for Giorgio Armani, _Vogue Arabia_, Dazed Beauty and Adidas, and she’s currently working on her debut album, _Psychexotic_.
