Raised in Vancouver but now located in Montreal, Jacob Sexsmith aka Jade Statues is an artist and musician of various disciplines who has been making aeriform, sonorous electronic music for close to a decade. He released his debut EP (and it’s accompanying video game) _Executive Towers_ on UK label Dream Catalogue in 2015 to critical online acclaim and a run of cassette tapes that promptly sold out. After attending RBMA Paris that same year, he took 2 years to create his second, most recent EP _My Blade_. A short but realized sonic vision which quickly saw regular plays on Rinse FM & NTS Radio as well as support from people like Dis Fig, Kastle, Galtier, and more. He has been described as having “a knack for refined maximalism..stacking all manner of sonic artillery in tracks that are undeniably overwhelming while still letting each element bubble and burst on it's own terms.
