This week on All The Raps we rock two hours of deep cuts from the formative Houston rap label Rap-A-Lot Records. Born out of a used car lot in the city's 5th Ward, the label went on to establish the independent blueprint that would fuel southern rap for years to come, while dropping an incredible string of street rap records that were vulgar, violent, socially conscious and hilarious, often all at once. And it goes deeper than just the Geto Boys—from the proto-horrorcore of Ganksta NIP to the raunchy sex raps of Choice, and from the double-time pimp flows of Do Or Die to the stoner philosophy of Devin The Dude.
