Description
We kick of this mix with a couple of classic Doo-Wop numbers one from a 13 yr old Frankie Lymon. This version of ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ is accredited to Elvis’ backing group The Jordanaires, but I’m sure I can hear a bit of Elvis in there. ‘Shakin’ All Over' reached No.1 in 1960, The distinctive 'Shakin' effect on the track, was created by sliding a cigarette lighter very fast up and down the guitar strings. ‘Little Bitty Pretty One’ was originally written and recorded by Bobby Day, but this version by Thurston Harris popularized the hit. ‘Rip it Up’ is a blinding tune, followed closely by a cracking version of ‘Long Tall Sally’. We finish up with a couple of stomping Jump Blues tracks. Rock you sinners or you'll end up down below...Enjoy!
