Frist up we have one of the 13 versions of Light My Fire I have in my collection, not the best, but a great cover by Nancy. Followed by the original of Daydream that I'm sure everyone recognises. This is closely followed by Howling for Judy by Jeremy Steig which I'm sure every Hip Hop head will recognises as the 'Sure Shot' sample by the Beastie Boys. Duke Pearson & Flora Purim, The Jazz Crusaders and Little Milton are up next followed by beer related tune by Boots Brown. Hallelujah, I'm Comin' Home from the Thousand Finger Man album by Candido is up next which is more than likely a reference to the Vietnam war. Dutch band Trinidad Oil Company with a superb makeover of Traffic's 1968 hit 'Feelin'Alright' is next followed by Party Time by Ramsey Lewis. The first of two great psych cuts by Ananda Shankar is followed by a heavy funk hitter by Marilyn Barbarin & The Soul Finders. We finish with another heavy funk tune by James K. Nine and the last of the Ananda Shankar sitar hits.
