Description
We kick this mix off with an absolute stunner from Little Willie John, "I'm Shakin'". Richard Berry (no relation to Chuck) is up next. Famous for being the original composer of 'Louie Louie', here we get another of his amazing compositions "Have Love, Will Travel". Jimmy Liggins' famous "I Ain't Drunk" has been my catch phrase for the last 16 years. "Why Don't You Do Right" follows Jimmy, this version is by Mike Gordon and the El Tempos. Why Don't You Do Right has recently made a bit of a comeback after the Peggy Lee version was sampled in some terrible house tune. Muddy Waters represents with a storming little belter. Bill Black's Combo, Louis Jordan and Young Jesse fill the next 4 minutes with some seriously short little numbers. Larry Williams name drops hundreds of famous tunes in "Short Fat Fannie". Juicy Lucy "I'm a Thief" is a banging little number that is relatively unheard, which is a shame as it's a dance floor killer. Arrrrrrrh running out of characters...
