We kick off this little mix with great little titty shaking Las Vegas stripper joint with a helium induced laugh. The Mar-Keys are up next, they are famous for the 'Bottom' theme tune. Who the hell calls themselves Lukas Lollipop? This track is the flip side to 'Don't Hold on to Someone' which has writing credits from Solomon Burke; this has led a few commentators to think that Lukas Lollipop might just be a pseudonym! Two tunes on Atlantic records up next followed by Chubbs. Chubby Checker's name is a little play on words after Fats Domino ('chubby' meaning 'fat', and 'checkers', like 'dominoes', being a game), his dance craze tracks are a little cheesy but alway fill the floor! Twisting with Linda has a great little call and response section like 'Shout' towards the end. The Hawg on Stax Records is another dance craze tune. Ray Charles follows another Stax platter, closely followed by two soul dancers from The Velvelettes and James Brown. We finish with some great R'n'B dancers!
