Barbara Pleaser is a transdisciplinary artist of Javanese, Sundanese & Minangkabau descendants based in Bali, Indonesia. Equipped with experience of mixing both analog & digital since 2015, their approach to DJ-ing is a sound collage of similar sound characters being stitched together like a journal while sharing it giggling with friends. Sentimental Rave is an atmosphere that they like to deliver through main interests in experimental post-club hard dance, polyrhythmic deconstructed beats, & glitchy ambient-trance - music that resurrect the embodied memories into movements, from passionate protest rave in the street with DIY sound systems, wholesome community sing-along dance parties, to strobing underground clubs.
