I'd forgotten the joy of mixing. Asked by a friend for a mixtape I just sent her a slab of albums as MP3s - then I thought - naah - that's not the point - that's not me - when did I start doing that? I think perhaps doing live radio by dumping tracks into a playlist is corrosive to the art of the medium. Definitely a wake-up that I needed. This is not a radio show - it's just a mix of mostly old favourites drifting back and forth between rhythm and ambience. No fancy mixing here - just an ordering of tracks with crossfades. Listening back I think I have too many beaty tracks in a row. Oh well. In any case hopefully I can get back to making better live radio now. Enjoy!
