Guest co host, Calvin Moore, and I sit down with Nicole Bedi to talk about her journey. A dietician who was active in academic medicine, ripples of tragedy struck when her friend, a cardiac surgeon, was gunned down by a patient. Since then, she has been active in the leadership of the Michigan Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and made a bid for US Senate. In this episode, she talks about her experience in the Sikh community, raising her daughters to be proud of their bicultural identity and how women and mothers can get involved in activism and advocacy.
