First selection of the new year and I'm startig off with a few tunes from Africa before heading down the usual jazz road with some indie rock thrown in for good measure. A couple of tracks that didn't make it into the 2010 rewind selection get a spin including Jamiroquai, as always quality music from them. In the final hour I'm doing a little feature on music I've discovered and downloaded from SoundCloud. Lots of these are edits and remixes of soul, disco and boogie tunes but there are a couple of originals in there as well. SoudCloud is definitely a great community and a great place to find up and coming artists doing their thing. Please check it out and support the artists by leaving comments and sharing with friends. Radio may be dead in many parts of the world but there are still ways to discover great music online. Hope you enjoy this first selection of 2011.
