PhonanzaFM Jan 11th 2013 Guenes Aires (Promo)

Guenes Aires has been around in the electronic music scene since about 1931 when he first appeared as a background artist for Oskar Sala and Friedrich Trautwein. Their invention, the "Trautonium" was originally named after him ("Aironium") but as it appeared to be too closely pronounced to "Arier" and "Ayran", Guenes Aires was more than happy with the decision to change the name of this little machine. When performing in the late 30's he was the first artist ever to actually blend the sounds of two gramophones, which led to the first DJ mix!
So here we are in 2013 - still hangin' out with this music lover, enjoying his great taste of music and his skills (the gramophones have become 1210s nowadays) and listening carefully to what he has to offer!
