Two years ago, the two best teams in the very much below the radar Italian Football League (American football, that is) came to Toledo (Ohio, birthplace of professional American football, that is) for their annual Italian Bowl Championship game. The plan was to come every two years, and so this year it happened again. The players are happy to have a week off from their day jobs and visit the U.S., and Toledo is happy to host the game and have a week of Italian and sports themed events. Guelphi Firenze thoroughly outplayed Dolphins Ancona, but it was still an entertaining game and one of the Guelphi proposed to his girlfriend after their victory. Here is an interesting variety of tunes that made their way to a little college radio station in Toledo, Ohio from Italian or Italian immigrant musicians in the last two years. (Playlist in Comments)
