Cinco de Mayo - Musics of the World 05/05/2024 (Mix)

Cinco de Mayo celebrates a Mexican victory over the forces of the French Empire in Puebla on May 5, 1862. It is a big holiday in Puebla, but not as big in Mexico as a whole. It has become a big holiday in the U.S. not only for Mexican Americans celebrating Mexican culture but for Americans in general, whose celebration definitely includes Mexican drinking traditions. On Sunday's radio program, May 5, we listened to some songs of Mexico (and missing it), Puebla, and tequila. (playlist in Comments)
