Description
This week marks the 7th anniversary of the Global Network radio show. It was originally started by me and Phil Dockerty and wouldn’t have happened without the training and guidance of Eddie Gordon! :) I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this than to dedicate the whole show to the timeless music of the one and only Frankie Knuckles. In part one check out his remixes of: Michael Jackson, Electribe 101, Inner City, Alexander O’Neil, Loose Ends, Rufus & Chaka Khan and The Sounds Of Blackness along with 2 of his original tracks ‘The Whistle Song’ and ‘Keep On Moving’. In hour 2, a mix Frankie sent me a few years ago for the show called ‘The Throwback Session’, all nicely rounded off with a picture of the first time I played with him at Cafe Mambo in 1998 with him standing next to my original copy of ‘Your Love’ :)
