Lord Let My Heart Sing (Songs of Faith or Jesus Is Way Cool)

It's Xmas Eve and time for another Songs of Faith or Jesus Is Way Cool.

It’s been said that religion is a drug of faith. Xian bands used their music to expose the hippie scene of the early 70's to mind expansion through God. In the process of doing so, psychedelic and folk musicians used their faith to produce some great songs.

This is the 5th year I have done one of these mixes, I haven't purchased much Xian sounds lately but digging deep into my vaults at Folk Funk Towers I have another annual ode to this religious genre.

Oh and I know Fire and Rain isn't really an Xian record but it does contain the lyric "Won't you look down upon me, Jesus, You've got to help me make a stand. You've just got to see me through another day."

A heathen, conceivably, but not, I hope, an unenlightened one.
