Description
A mix I did in November 2019 for the verygoodplus forum end of year swap.
It's made up of seven inch vinyl and is in memory of my local independent record shop in Northampton called Spinadisc. It gave me the chance to sample so much new music long before the internet and freedom to listen to almost everything first. 45's were cheap back then and not always pressed to a high quality, most of the pressing facilities were closing and production moved to Eastern Europe and what came back wasn't always great. With pops and clicks and a mix of both which I called clops, you just took what you was given. By the time I had started buying vinyl as an addiction the shop had moved down from Abington Square and into Abington Street, the indie 45's were upstairs and there would always be a boxful of delights for me to play on my lunch hour or Saturday afternoon, later the indie stock was moved downstairs.
Enjoy the selections x
