OEP 8/5/13: Radere guest mix

I highly recommend having a beer or more with Carl Ritger (Radere); on top of being an excellent musician, he is very entertaining!

I was happy when he accepted my invitation to do a guest mix for the show. Carl sent me an all vinyl set he performed at a recent full moon party in southern Colorado. Recorded using a pair of Technics turntables and an Allen & Heath mixer with a selection of effects patched into the send / return, this set moves from deepest drones through to fringe techno and more experimental fare over the course of its nearly two-hour running time.

Carl’s past albums as Radere and Grey Deer are rewarding listens in their own right, including works for Futuresequence, Full Spectrum and Moodgadget. ‘Waking Life,’ his most recent release, is a collaboration with Anduin under the Andere moniker and is currently available via SMTG.
