"look, i don’t know where i come from or where i’m going. no one listens to me and i don’t even know who i am. i looked for my way on the wind, but it didn’t blow. so i asked the sea for a path, but it ran dry. it doesn’t matter, i’m friends with the wind and the sea. i guess i came to life boarded a silver ship, but it doesn’t sail on days and nights anymore, so i don’t know if i should stay or if i should go. if i don’t know myself, how can i like myself? i know i left my face in a few forgotten mirrors and a crumpled rose in silence saw me from the inside. yes, i’m friends with the forgotten and the flowers. you see, i’m thinking about time but i don’t know about the hours. words, dreams, shadows aren’t happy and aren’t sad, they’re hidden in the song. and i, i’m friends with the singing." ronnie von, o meu novo cantar (1968)
