June 25th, 2014 is the 30th anniversary of Purple Rain. I'm a MASSIVE Prince Fan. So what do I do on the 30th anniversary of Purple Rain? Create a special mix of course. 1984 was an extraordinary year for Prince, not only did he release the album and film Purple Rain, he also released a crap-load of good music that he wrote, performed, and produced through other artists: The Time's Ice Cream Castles, Sheila E's The Glamorous Life, Apollonia 6's self-titled debut, and Sheena Easton's Sugar Walls. This mix not only celebrates the film, Purple Rain, but also the year of Prince and related music from 1984. It was a good year!
