Genes & Spirits

Every new episode of my radioshow is like a chapter in a book. Sometimes it needs time to get this puzzle together. I see different characters, dialogues, stories very often long time after the episode was aired. What I see now is a story of a Victory Day in Ukraine, and changing concept of that very popular holiday. I also see the North of Russia and my best jazz days of the past. I see Odessa and the story of Marazlievskaya Street with the house of the hanged. The story takes steps in 1902. And I see the story of South Africa jazz pianist who released two LP's in the 90's and died young at 27. The name of the legend - Moses Taiwa Molelekwa. Thanks to Matsuli music for sending me brilliant Molelekwa's "Genes & Spirits" last album that was re-released in April 2018. First time on vinyl! I dedicated second hour of that episode to Molelekwa's fantastic music and to African grooves. I hope you will enjoy this Night Light Radioshow new chapter. Listen between the notes, enjoy & share!
