Arthur Russell was a genius. Largely unheard of until recent times this man incorporated so many different musical styles including pop, disco, house, soul, funk, boogie, experimental, classical, avant-garde, electro, and even country and western. A lot of his music is only seeing the light of day now. Here I’ve concentrated more on his uptempo stuff. If you are not familiar with his music I suggest starting with his albums "Another Thought”, and “World of Echo”, and of course this mix which includes solo stuff, collaborations, remixes, and new interpretations of some of his best compositions.
