On this episode of Your Favorite DJ's Favorite DJ, I had the pleasure of kicking it with Yenga, a DJ based out of Queens. I opened the show with a afrobeat, zouk, dancehall and soca set featuring the likes of Popcaan, 4keus, Krosfyah, and P-Square. Yenga and I then sat down and she shared her experiences growing up between the US and Cameroon, different regional styles of Cameroonian music, and how she went from bullying her friends for the aux to spinning in the club. Yenga then blessed us with a high energy set of Amapiano, Afrohouse, Gqom and other sounds from across the African continent.
