On this episode of our Favorite DJ's Favorite DJ I sat down with musician, historian, art director and DJ, Kpakpo. Kpakpo shared what is what like growing up in the greater Boston area, why Hip-Hop was his first love and how the 1977 blackouts in NYC were in part responsible for the growth of DJing in the city during the late 70s and early 80s. Kpakpo then played an incredibly soulful set of disco, house and soul. YFDFD airs every other Tuesday on Newtown Radio from 6PM-8PM.
