This episode marks 3 years of Your Favorite DJ's Favorite DJ and I was joined by dance pioneer, teacher, DJ, entrepreneur and 5th generation Brooklynite, Brooklyn Terry. In our interview, Terry reflected on how he started DJing and how Hip-Hop was initially his first love before he was swept away by house music. We also discussed the current state of night life, the importance of the DIY scene, why clubs need to move back Manhattan and the challenges of operating a small venue post pandemic as well as his experience teaching dance abroad and who he thinks can be a standard bearer for the new generation of house music.
