On the 56th edition of YFDFD, I had the pleasure of chatting with DJ and curator Morgan Smith bka Beyblade Shawty. I opened up the show with some of my favorite jazz and soulful house records and then at down for the Interview. Beyblade Shawty shared the origin of her name, her belief in physical media supremacy, how her piano playing background has influenced her sound as well as how digging for and encountering new sounds has been fuel for her craft. Beyblade Shawty then shared some of her favorite tunes and a mix of techno, hip-hop, jersey club, footwork and other styles of bass music. YFDFD airs every other Tuesday on Newtown Radio from 6PM-8PM.
