“Sound the System” with Slipmat Records is a new regular show exploring Jamaican Sound System Culture of the past 60 years. From Kingston to Notting Hill, Rocksteady to Dancehall and Coxsone Dodd to Mungo’s Hi-Fi! A full hour of Reggae that’s meant to be played LOUD!
For the first show of 2023 Mat will be joined in the studio by Dave Bell, head honcho of Wirral-based Sound System “SugarShack”. Expect the usual hour filled to the brim with classic roots, rocksteady, ska and dub all played on vinyl. And also listen out for a very special announcement!
