Here’s a selection of sounds big in the youth clubs between 1969 and 1975, many of which started in the “Rare Soul” clubs and made their way into public consciousness resulting in chart hits for the likes of The Newbeats, The Fascinations and Dobie Gray. Amost everyone you knew was into Soul music back in those days – either that or they were either an ex-RAF greatcoat wearing Prog Rocker, or a Slade loving Boot Boy. Well I always loved Slade to be honest but hated that Prog Rock rubbish and still do…anyway, dancing shoes at the ready, this one is going to make you feel like a teenager again…that’s presuming you’re now an old git like me. (Live vinyl mix so expect a few scratches here and there)
