After hearing part one yesterday, some people asked how we managed to be on the ball as far as sounds went when we just a village youth club (albeit the biggest village in England with a 12,000 or so population back then). Well I missed the Catacombs because I was just entering onto the Northern scene just as it closed - plus I was only 14. In Willenhall (Wolverhampton), there was a youth club called St. Giles (aka Sammies) and from 74 or maybe 75 to 77 they held superb allnighters there, my parents actually let me go, aged 15, and this place had top DJ's like Pep and Max, who had all the big sounds. So we heard them there and then went about getting them for our own youth club. And of course older members had started going to Wigan, hearing new sounds and getting them cut, we soon followed in their footsteps. Anyway, here's another hour and a half of great memories. I may do one more of these. Cheers, Pete
