I missed the Casino anniversary last month so decided to put this together, this is an accurate summing up of records that were played as new spins or were established top sounds from the first time I ever went to the Casino (April 76) to the last Saturday I went to (August 78). The archive for this is a) my memory and b) the many cassette tapes I recorded at the Casino. You may be surprised to discover how some sounds we now take for granted as “Wigan Monstere” were actually not that popular at the time. As I only got as far as the artist letter J, I think it’s safe to say there will be several more episodes in this series.
