Just nearly one side of a C90 cassette, this is a fantastic snapshot of Wigan Casino in late 1975. The DJ for the first track is Alan Rhodes. His handover to John Vincent at 18:20 on the recording is one of the greatest, most thrilling bits of DJing many of us had ever heard at the time. And still is to this day. I also like this tape as it picks up chat between my old mate John and his pal Cheesy (“Larry Santos aye it?””Nah mate, different version…it’s a wank version that is”). Turn it up loud. I posted this up years ago but it’s not currently available as one of my podcasts.
