Here’s The First Reggae Compilation For A While, And I Think It Was Worth Waiting For As I’ve Used Almost Exclusively New Tracks On This One Including Some Really Rare And Interesting 45’s. The Ethiopians “Cut Down” Is A Great Lesser Known Track From Them And Also Included Is It’s Fantastic Instrumental Version From King Cannon, “Fireball”. I Think The Eric Morris Track Came Out As White Label Only. Lloyd The Matador Does Two Excellent Rocksteady Dj Tunes, As Far As I Know This Is The Only Rare Release On The Uk Sioux Label. “My Word Don Juan” Is Something I Created By Playing “Man Of My Word” And It’s Version, “Don Juan” At Exactly The Same Time On The Decks, It Only Falls Apart For A Second Or Two In The Middle Of The Track. Anyway I Think There’s Enough Here To Keep The 60’s Fans Happy, And For Reasons Known Only To Myself, I Chose To End It With Two 70’s Tracks, The Last One Being The 12” Dub Version Of “Blue Beat And Ska” By Matumbi.
