This is just a few 45's I've bought recently but I wanted to highlight the track "Record Breaker" by Sir Scorcher & The Black Emeralds because to most ears this would sound like prime Studio One material circa late 68 - early 69, except it's actually a 2013 release - possibly the most authentic attempt at recreating the classic early Reggae sound. It's on the Jan Disc label and even looks like an old UK release, complete with push out centre. Meanwhile, The Allentons Rocksteady tune, "Dreams", is also a contemporary release which brilliantly echoes the late Rocksteady period. Also worth noting is the semi-instrumental version of "The Israelites", lots of these previously unissued backing tracks of old classics are sneaking out on Beverleys reissues.
