This is an accurate summing up of records that were played as new spins or were established top sounds from the first time I ever went to the Casino (April 76) to the last Saturday I went to (August 78). The archive for this is a) my memory and b) the many cassette tapes I recorded at the Casino. We’ve reached 1978 and I’m afraid the standard of records drops off so badly here that I can’t quite believe how terrible some of these tunes are. Big new USA discoveries seemed so hard to find so some DJ’s turned to UK releases in an attempt to fill the gap. It backfired spectacularly.
